The UK, Germany and Denmark have the most installed offshore wind; and therefore the most developed offshore grid networks.

The result is that opportunities to invest in offshore transmission networks are also concentrated in Europe. The UK has its Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) regime, which has attracted major institutions. Opportunities have also arisen in Germany.
