In this report, we focus on the most influential 100 people and seven trends that have had the biggest influence on the onshore and offshore wind industry in Europe in the last 12 months – and will continue to do so over the next year.
Europe has been through a difficult 18 months. Statistics from WindEurope reported that 2018 was the worst year for onshore wind installations for a decade, as a result of factors including competitive auctions, squeezed margins in the supply chain, and political uncertainty in key markets including France, Germany, Spain and the UK.
This means that the European wind industry needs the guidance of experienced and skilled individuals to guide it through tricky times. These are the people that we have celebrated in this report, which follows on from our Top 100 Power People report.
This top 100 includes developers, financiers, manufacturers and more, as well as big interviews with CEOs at Acciona Energia, EKF and Red Rock Power; and influential directors at Macquarie’s Green Investment Group and Vattenfall.
